Mowbray Reveals Struggles After Hibs Departure: "It's Been A Difficult Time"

Former Hibernian manager, Lee Mowbray, has opened up about the difficult period he's faced since leaving the Easter Road club in December. The 54-year-old, who led Hibs to a third-place finish in the Scottish Premiership during his tenure, admits that adjusting to life outside the demanding world of professional football has been a challenge.

Speaking to the Scottish Sun, Mowbray revealed, "It's been a difficult time. It's hard to go from being in that environment every day to suddenly having all that time on your hands. There's a lot to be said for the routine and the adrenaline rush of managing a club."

Mowbray, known for his attacking brand of football and strong man-management skills, had a successful spell at Hibs, establishing them as one of the leading teams in Scotland. However, despite the success, he parted ways with the club following a run of poor results, citing a desire for a new challenge.

Since leaving Easter Road, Mowbray has had the opportunity to spend more time with his family and pursue his passion for cycling, something he had previously been unable to do due to the demands of his job. But the veteran manager admits that he misses the buzz of football and the constant interaction with players and staff.

"I miss the players, the staff, the fans, the whole atmosphere," he said. "You're constantly immersed in the game, there's a real sense of purpose and belonging. That's what I miss the most."

Despite the difficulties, Mowbray remains confident that he will find his way back into management soon. He is currently using this time to reflect on his career and identify areas where he can further develop his skills.

"I'm not one to sit around and do nothing," Mowbray stated. "I'm constantly looking at ways to improve and learn. I'm confident that I'll be back in football soon. I still have a lot to offer the game."

The footballing world will be eagerly awaiting Mowbray's return, with many fans hoping to see him back in a dugout, inspiring a new generation of players with his passion and tactical acumen. His experience and success at Hibs suggest that he will be a valuable asset to any club he joins.
