Parkinson Makes Changes for Wrexham's Port Vale Clash

Wrexham manager Phil Parkinson has made two changes to his starting lineup for Saturday's crucial clash against Port Vale at Vale Park.

The Dragons are looking to bounce back from their disappointing 3-0 defeat to Stockport County last weekend, and Parkinson has opted for a more attacking approach for the trip to Staffordshire.

Striker Paul Mullin returns to the starting XI after missing the Stockport game through suspension. The prolific forward, who has scored 12 goals in 14 league appearances this season, will be looking to add to his tally and help Wrexham secure a vital three points.

The other change sees highly-rated midfielder Jordan Davies come into the side in place of Elliot Lee. Davies impressed in his substitute appearance against Stockport, and his energy and creativity will be crucial in breaking down a stubborn Vale defense.

The rest of the Wrexham lineup remains unchanged, with the likes of Ollie Palmer, Jake Hyde, and Ben Tozer all retaining their places.

Parkinson spoke about the importance of Saturday's game: "It's a massive game for us. We need to bounce back from last week's defeat and get back to winning ways. Port Vale are a tough side, but we're confident in our ability to go there and get a positive result."

The Dragons are currently sitting in 4th place in the National League table, just three points behind leaders Notts County. A win against Port Vale would be a huge boost to their promotion hopes.
