Salisbury Remembrance Sunday: Road Closures and Parking Restrictions

Salisbury will be holding its annual Remembrance Sunday commemoration on Sunday, 12 November 2023, honouring the sacrifices made by our armed forces. To ensure a safe and respectful ceremony, several road closures and parking restrictions will be in place.

Road Closures:

• From 10:00am to 1:00pm:
  • High Street: From its junction with New Canal to the junction with Fisherton Street.
  • Fisherton Street: From its junction with High Street to its junction with St. Ann Street.
  • St. Ann Street: From its junction with Fisherton Street to its junction with The Market Place.
  • The Market Place: From its junction with St. Ann Street to its junction with Queen Street.
  • Queen Street: From its junction with The Market Place to its junction with Brown Street.
  • Brown Street: From its junction with Queen Street to its junction with East Street.
  • East Street: From its junction with Brown Street to its junction with Castle Street.
  • Castle Street: From its junction with East Street to its junction with Crane Street.
• From 10:30am to 12:30pm:
  • Crane Street: From its junction with Castle Street to its junction with Endless Street.
  • Endless Street: From its junction with Crane Street to its junction with Butcher Row.

Parking Restrictions:

• No parking: All roads within the designated closure areas will be no-parking zones from 10:00am.
• Limited parking: Limited parking may be available in surrounding areas, but residents are advised to check local signage for restrictions.

Alternative Routes:

• For those travelling by car: Please allow extra time for your journey and avoid driving through the closed areas. Use alternative routes where possible.
• For those travelling by bus: Bus services may be affected by the closures. Check with your bus provider for updates.
